On the night of July 11th 2003 our trucking terminal in Battle Creek, Michigan was broken into and two Nextel units were stolen from our trucks. As our dispatcher was conducting a yard check on July 12th he had realized what had happened and proceeded to call the Battle Creek Police Department. The Police arrived at the scene of the crime and we began to file a police report. The officer at the scene advised our dispatcher that the chances of retrieving the stolen cell phones would be slim to none.

At that time our dispatcher began to explain to the officer, the phones that were stolen had a GPS chip in them and with the support of a company named Actsoft we would be able to track them via their web site. Our dispatcher logged onto the website and to the officers surprise, within seconds we were able to verify the exact time of the crime along with the exact current location of these phones. Comet Tracker also provided the Police Department with the criminal's exact route, speed of travel, where they stopped and their current latitudinal and longitudinal location with the exact address all in real time status.

Because of the Comet Tracker tracking system the police were able to pay the criminals a visit at their home address. With the help of Comet Tracker, Nextel and the Police Department we were able to remove these criminals from the streets and retrieve our property back.
